Product Care
How should I care for my Japam Veda ornaments?
Your Japam Veda ornaments should be handled with care at all times. Please keep your Japam Veda ornaments out of reach of small children and babies.
All sterling silver will tarnish over time, but it will happen much faster when it comes into contact with agents such as perfume, salty air, sulphur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin ph.
We recommend that you do not wear any ornaments whilst bathing, whilst in bed or during sporting activities.
How should I clean my Japam Veda ornaments?
To clean tarnish, gently scrub your ornaments with a soft toothbrush in diluted soapy water. Dry thoroughly then buff with a polishing cloth. This helps to remove the dirt and grit that may gather between the links of your bracelet causing wear and tear. A twice yearly professional clean will ensure that your ornaments always looks beautiful.
For leather: For daily cleaning, simply wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry cloth. Stains should be removed immediately before they soak in or dry – use a mild professional cleaner (without chemicals) or a mild soap such as soap flakes or saddle soap. Create suds in a bowl and apply the suds to a soft, lint-free cloth, then wipe the leather. Afterwards, wipe the leather with a dry cloth and add a leather conditioner to protect it further. Remember to keep leather out of direct sunlight.
